This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and procedures for the fulfillment and delivery of orders placed through the TICO DECORATE INC. online store (“Site”). - Order Processing & Handling Time
Once your order and payment are confirmed, it enters our processing queue. Our standard order processing (picking, packing, and preparing for shipment) takes 1-3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Canadian statutory holidays). Processing times may be longer during promotional periods, holidays, or for custom-made items. You will receive an order confirmation email immediately after purchase. A second email with your tracking information will be sent once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse.
- Shipping Destinations, Methods & Costs
We primarily ship within Canada. We may offer shipping to the contiguous United States and other international destinations; availability will be displayed at checkout.
Domestic Shipping (Within Canada): We partner with major carriers like Canada Post, UPS, and Purolator. Shipping costs are calculated in real-time based on your delivery postal code, package dimensions, weight, and your chosen service level (e.g., Standard, Expedited, Express). All applicable charges, including taxes and shipping fees, will be clearly itemized before you finalize your purchase.
International Shipping: For orders shipped outside of Canada, the customer is solely responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and any other charges imposed by the destination country. These fees are not included in our product prices or shipping charges, and we cannot predict their amount. Delivery time estimates for international orders are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed.
- Delivery Timeframes & Transit
The delivery timeframe provided at checkout or in your shipping confirmation email is an estimate. It begins from the date of carrier pickup, not the order date. While we work with reliable carriers, actual transit times depend on carrier performance, distance, weather, customs clearance (for international orders), and other factors beyond our reasonable control. TICO DECORATE INC. is not liable for delivery delays caused by the shipping carrier or unforeseen circumstances.
- Shipping Address Accuracy
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address at checkout. Please double-check all information. We are not responsible for orders lost, delayed, or returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
If a delivery attempt fails due to address issues or recipient unavailability, the carrier will typically follow their procedure (e.g., leave a notice, attempt re-delivery, or hold at a local depot). Any additional fees for re-delivery, address correction, or return to sender are the customer’s responsibility. If a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will contact you. A refund for the product(s) will be issued, minus the original and return shipping costs.
- Order Tracking
Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number on the carrier’s website to monitor your package’s progress. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to become active after you receive the notification.
- Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages
We pack all items securely for shipment. However, responsibility for the package transfers to the carrier upon our hand-off and receipt of proof of dispatch.
Lost in Transit: If your tracking shows no movement for an extended period (e.g., 7+ business days past the estimated delivery date), contact us. We will initiate a trace investigation with the carrier.
Damaged Upon Arrival: If your package arrives visibly damaged, refuse the delivery if possible and contact us immediately. If accepted, please take clear photos of the damaged box and contents within 48 hours of receipt. We will work with you and the carrier to file a claim and resolve the issue (replacement or refund).
Stolen Packages: We are not liable for packages marked “delivered” by the carrier that are subsequently reported stolen. We recommend shipping to a secure address where someone can receive the package. Signature-required delivery is available for select services.
- Shipping & Returns

Return shipping costs for domestic returns initiated by the customer are typically the customer’s responsibility, unless the return is due to our error.
For international returns, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs and customs documentation.
Refunds for returned items are issued to the original payment method after we receive and inspect the item. Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable.
